Additional Information:

The Glexo Hail Kit is a specialized cold-glue system for hail-damage repair. Hail work demands speed—downtime directly cuts efficiency—so the kit includes redundant tabs that let you keep working continuously even if the glue overheats during intensive use.

Designed to support PDR technicians on common hail tasks, the Glexo Hail system accelerates standard operations and boosts throughput without sacrificing repair quality.

The system uses PDR cold glue applied to Glexo PDR tabs to restore panel shape. The technique focuses on fast, centered pulls: form a small cone of glue on the tab, twist the tab onto the dent’s center, then remove the damage with a sharp slide-hammer blow.

All tabs feature Glexo’s patented locking system with an O-ring for quick, secure installation. The tabs are compatible with any industry-standard PDR slide hammer; the recommended hammer weight is 1.2 kg / 2.6 lb.

The Glexo Hail Kit covers the typical range of hail scenarios:
1. Two 25 mm tabs — for precise pulls on small, localized dents.
2. Two 30 mm tabs — for medium-sized dents where a stronger pull is beneficial.
3. One crease tab 35x10mm — for elongated, narrow defects common in hail patterns.
The kit also includes two types of PDR cold glue tailored for different temperature conditions.

Preparing the Glexo Hail Kit for work:
– Thoroughly prepare the panel surface: it must be clean and degreased. For reliable adhesion, we recommend the Glexo SPS surface preparation system.
– Install the tab with applied adhesive into the slide hammer until it fully seats, ensuring a locked connection via the O-ring system.
– Shape a small cone of cold glue on the tab to concentrate force at the dent center.

Working with the system:
– With a twisting motion, glue the tab precisely to the center of the damage, using the slide hammer as a lever for accurate placement.
– Remove the defect with a sharp blow of the slide hammer; repeat as needed until the result is achieved.
– To maintain pace during high-volume work, rotate through the redundant tabs to offset potential glue performance drop as it heats up.

Key considerations when using PDR cold glue:
– Clean, degreased surfaces deliver the best results (we recommend Glexo SPS).
– A small cone of glue on the tab helps focus pulling energy at the center.
– A sharp slide-hammer blow provides a pronounced effect; for dense hail patterns, repeat the cycle as required.

Storage: after use, tabs can be stored directly with the applied glue, protected by the included anti-adhesive films to prevent sticking.

The Glexo Hail Kit comes with a 1-year warranty.
